(Nah, I'll have tea thanks.... ahahahah. [says the flower girl])
Happy easter! Easter is one of my most favouritest times of the year, for sure!!
Sorry I've been so quiet recently, I've been manic.
ANYWHO
I have been researching galleries for my dream wishlist of galleries and I stumbled accross the Cork craft and design centre. I thought I'd have a browse even though my britishness renders me a tad invalid but I'm glad I did nosey because I found the gem Jaki Coffey stashed away there!
I was initially attracted to her because of the shape and colour of the body of work I saw (Yellow skips=angular yellow brooches=YUM). But then as I read her bio and looked at her portfolio I got a real sense of investment and thoughtfullness from her; through the cheeky playfulness. I love the interaction her work inspires and the honesty of it too. And as a maker, I really love the angles she creates.

I've been bending my sheet a lot, which I shall continue to do, but I have also been thinking over this holiday that I should try sanding down (as I do with my wire) and soldering angled sheets.
We shall se the results of that on the old IG!
Have a Merry rest of your Easter, oh and we are due a big ol' blog post about a Japanese philosophy called Kintsugi which has really developed my concept this Easter. Exciting times!
